Parenting Programme
Longford County Childcare Committee is a member of the Longford Westmeath Parenting Partnership – an Interagency group are working together to offer local families in Longford and Westmeath the world-acclaimed Triple P – Positive Parenting Program.
Throughout 2011 Triple P will be available free of charge for all Longford/Westmeath parents with children aged 7 years and under. Every parent should find something to suit their needs within Triple P’s selection of courses, seminars, group sessions and handy website tips.
Triple P has been funded by the Atlantic Philanthropies, the HSE and the Office of the Minister for Children & Youth Affairs. A significant number of practitioners – including Public Health Nurses, Family Support Workers, Childcare Leaders, Community Mother Volunteers, Community Development Workers and partner facilitators – have already been trained and accredited to deliver Triple P to parents.
