Grants Available

Are you running a Parent & Toddler Group or looking to set up a Parent & Toddler group? Longford County Childcare Committee are now taking applications for 2011 Grants

Parent and Toddler Groups provide informal support to parents, grandparents and childminders, as well as to young children and are an important source of social contact especially for families new to an area, as well as those from other countries.

Funding will be available for:

• Toys, equipment and books
• Training for parents, e.g. paediatric first aid, committee skills, parenting courses
• Children’s activities, e.g. arts and crafts, music
• Limited funding will be available towards insurance, rent, training or minor refurbishment

The grant scheme for Parent and Toddler Groups ranges from €100-€600. Closing date for applications is Friday 8th April, 2011.
