About Longford County Childcare Committee
The Longford County Childcare Committee was established in 2001. We are the first point of contact for the public in applying for grant assistance under the National Childcare Investment Programme.
We offer a wide variety of services locally including
- advice on setting up a childcare business
- childcare information sessions
- training courses for those considering a career in childcare
- and advice and support on applying for an NCIP grant.
We also offer services to parents, such as providing information on local childcare facilities and information on parent networks.
Mission Statement
To facilitate childcare providers to develop appropriate childcare services which respond to and cater for the childcare needs of local parents and their children and meets the objectives of the National Childcare Investment Programme 2006-2010; and to continue to support and work with childcare providers, parents and other key stakeholders at local level.
